We try to sneak to the edge of the hill, get to the edge
Sootstep trips on tree and falls off of the hill
The owl-bear stands up, clicks, and starts sniffing Sootstep
Tehazysh tries to make noise, fails twice
owl-bear is watching Sootstep's tail wagging, farts, and it jumps like a startled cat, smell is mid. He pretends to be dead, still visibly breathing.
Lork-Faithstone tries to shoot (with a crossbow) the bird, her hand shakes as sneaking up, misses its head, it turns up to look at Lork-Faithstone and stares into apex predator eyes.
Sildur-Hallwinter confirms we could've just scared it off, sighs, and pulls out the sword.
Sootstep continues to play dead.
Tehazysh illusions a second Lork-Faithstone next to her from behind a tree.
Yucca runs at it from stealth, shoves it to the side, and then stabs it, it does some damage, but not a lot.
Sildur-Hallwinter yells, jumps next to own owl-bear, hits it with sword on way down, lands and swings again, more slashy
owl-bear whips around and looks at Sildur, goes in with claws, misses, beak hits, chomps his chest and leaves a hole.
Lork-Faithstone runs downhill and slashes with sickle, bounces because lol. Heals Sildur-Hallwinter by touch; his chest wound knits up.
owl-bear about 1/3 hurt.
Sootstep (delayed action), hits with bonus, small damage, smacks it again, smacks it hard again. Punches its eyes, it doesn't like.
Sootstep, didn't hear no bell, smacks it some more in squishy bits, first lands, second hits something hard and it hurts.
Tehazysh heals Sildur-Hallwinter's armour
Yucca runs the fuck away while screaming she can't do anything. Tries to hide in the forest, works.
Sildur-Hallwinter smacks the shit out of it.
owl-bear tries to dip, zoomies away.
Sildur-Hallwinter wipes blood off the sword and immediately looks at the cart. Appears to have been chomping at trail mix. Healing potions is shattered.
Spillage is lickage. Sootstep runs up and licks it to heal on the point of health.
Sildur-Hallwinter looks unimpressed. Goes to his horse, prays, and suggests we move on.
Sildur-Hallwinter notices Yucca coming out of the brush, saying "good job, guys", and nods.
Sildur-Hallwinter gives us the difference in lost goods for the reward we wouldn't get from the village for saving his life.
Sildur-Hallwinter and Gundren-Rockseeker got out numbered
Gundren-Rockseeker didn't go into the cave with Sildur-Hallwinter, as far as he knows. "Now that I think of it",
Sildur-Hallwinter: The leader of goblins mentioned Gundren-Rockseeker, so it seems targeted, "black-spider asked for the dwarf to be brought to him".
Our horses have run off into the brush. Sootstep looks at the horse with a head tilt, and it comes back.
Yucca searches Gundren-Rockseeker's horse. Wooden token with jagged shape like a shark's mouth in red substance (symbol, sigil, scratch).
Sildur-Hallwinter doesn't know what it is, suspects it's the goblins. Compliments Yucca for spotting.
